UNDERTAKER NOT AMUSED, FANS ALSO NOT AMUSED

Fans, on Sunday night the WW”e” expectorated Summerslam at us all. By nearly all accounts this latest PPV was a classic stale old stinker. Yes there were some high points but they were few and far in between. One of our administrators here at The HTM Website has remarked for some time now that PPVs are little more than glorified RAW and Smackdown shows. Little is new and we get the same matches we see on cable week in and week out.
The following article lifted from another website is perplexing only for the reason that we would have expected something like this from the better WW”e” wrestlers a long time ago already.
“UNDERTAKER NOT AMUSED WITH "WAVE"

“The Undertaker was less than pleased with the reaction his match against John Bradshaw Layfield prompted last night. The Toronto crowd was never into the match and even resorted to a lenghty "Wave" that made several trips around the building. The announcers were forced to acknowledge the fan behavior and Undertaker was said to be livid backstage after the match. To make matters worse, a rowdy fan jumped the railing to climb on top of the limo that had been rigged for the spot where Undertaker was going to chokeslam Layfield and the distraction caused the already uneasy crowd to pay attention to security while they removed the fan.
“On top of everything else, Undertaker slipped while climbing down off the limo and looked clumsy. By the time he reached the back he was said to be ready to explode.”
This one is both a head scratcher and an embarrassment at the same time. Both UT and Bradshaw are liked as performers by many of The HTM’s fans. UT has long been a personal favorite of mine and Bradshaw can be very amusing in his promos. However, a match is not a promo and between the UT and Bradshaw we somehow doubt that the UT was the problem last night. Unfortunately, Bradshaw has been less than sterling as a heel despite his huge push and for unexplained reasons he has not caught on with the fans to the degree that is required of a top performer. Bradshaw’s wrestling has not been good since Ron Simmons and the APA blew away. In truth, Bradshaw works best as a brawler, not a wrestler. He comes across well pounding guys half his size but not guys his size or bigger.
As for the UT, if he was not amused with the wave, what does he think the fans thought watching his match? The fans "get into a match" when the wrestlers give them one. If the UT and Bradshaw had exploded in the ring during their match the fans would have, too.
Angle and Eddie are the best there are at their craft right now, but how many times do we want to see what we have seen scores of times already?
The Kane / Matt Hardy / Lita sequence is not believable under any circumstances. It can’t be fixed and needs to be dropped, the sooner the better. The only part that remotely resembled reality happened about a month ago when Lita nudged Kane in the nutz. Last night, that seems to have been how the Toronto fans felt watching UT and Bradshaw.
Which moron came up with Diva Dodgeball? Which moron allowed it to go on? Heh, Vince, is that you?
We hate to say this, . . . naaaawwww, . . . we really don’t, but as long as Vince wraps shit in cellophane, calls it professional wrestling, and enough fools pay money to buy it, things won’t improve, primarily because there will be no incentive to improve.
